Rough Guides invited Punch Bowl Design to assist with their travel guide cover re-design project. They were looking for a new direction for their covers and we were asked to submit some design ideas for consideration.

 

The brief required that the new cover build upon their current brand identity, and find a balance between being bold and ambitious without alienating their current readers/market. To this end, the logo and the two Rough Guide colours (the blue and the orange) were required to be retained. So, subtle changes were needed.
